The Whistler Community Services Society building provides the residents of Whistler with a centralized location to access many well-known WCSS services. The building houses the Re-Use-It Centre, Food Bank, Outreach, and Counselling services, which had previously been located at various sites throughout the community.

Mass timber CLT (Cross-Laminated-Timber) was used as the main structural system as well as the interior finish. The mass timber components were factory-manufactured and then site-assembled over a few weeks. This allowed for accuracy, reduced construction waste, and was a great fit with Whistler’s short construction season. The result is a sustainable and efficient wood building with warm and welcoming interiors.
