Cloudburst Apartments is a 27-unit residential building that provides affordable housing for local employees through the Whistler Housing Authority. The 1 and 2-bedroom residential units are situated on 3 storeys of wood frame construction above a concrete parkade.

The building is organized around a spacious entry courtyard to create a welcoming public presence and an informal social gathering space at the street level. At the upper levels, each of the residential units is accessed from an exterior passage rather than an interior corridor. This provides fresh air, natural light, and a feeling of openness to each occupant.
